My car under project
Here're a few photos of my project car Ford Consul Coupe
'73 with 5.0litre Ford V8 and Borg-Wagner T10
The project started in November, 1994 when I was reading a second-hand
car ads and found this one. The condition and price were reasonable and two
weeks later I purchased it at the town of Imatra. I didn't like the car the
way it was. The underpowered 2.0 litre original row-4 was replaced by 1.6 litre
version, and the car looked really sad. The good point was that there
weren't much rust on it. I took it to pieces and started rebuilding it with
new or reconditioned parts. It really took time and money and it was not
until June, 1997 the car passed the inspection with all the new stuff.
It still needs a fresh paint. I've been busy with my other cars.
Tuesday, 6th of April - The Consul is sold.
